Penelahpe's celebrates husband and sous chef birthday

Forty and eating Philly's is how our family celebrated my husband, and sous chef Terry Gordon 40th birthday. When we celebrate in my home it is usually with good food. music and good company. All of my  my children usually create their own menu, but this time my oldest daughter, Terri and I conjured up this one.
Din my lovey Junior Chef in training. #vegetarianscancookmeat

Lovely bolillo bread wheat and white posed as our philly rolls. We had the typical fixings... Steak, chicken, shrimp and grilled onions, peppers, and cheese.  Gourmet add on's were chipotle cream cheese spread, marinated greens and tater tots!!!!! When it comes to any type of sandwich few things are necessary: condiments (siracha, wasabi mayo and olive oil mayo) and starchy sides (fries, potato chips and tater tots). We covered all the bases.
Bolillo Bread is a savory Mexican bread. I was first introduced to this bread on a food adventure to Buford Highway  Farmer's Market in Atlanta Ga, respectfully.  This market is on of my favorite places to shop because of the Asian, African and Latino foods they sale. #bufordhighway

DJ TJ rocked  the wheels of steel as we ate and partied.

In my house,  music plays a big role in our daily lives.  My husband runs his own recording studio and the music he plays puts us in the mood to enjoy the days and  prepare great family meals.

By the end of the night a case of Peach Blue Moon  came and  went.  A falling town of upside down pineapple cake, too ugly to share, but delicious enough to talk about and add 40 candles too.   Needless to say the enitre thing was finished by the next day.

Until next time keep talking about food!!!
